It is said that Christmas started when after
converting to Christianity, Constantine needed a via to reach the masses, so he created a new holiday: Christmas.
However, in order to preserve order among his people, he combined it with a pagan ritual and the first Christmas was
born.
The Christmas tree and Christmas tradition as we
know it, originated in Germany. In 725 A.D. the first Christmas tree was born to honor the birth of Christ and it
has been popular ever since. However, because of the puritans beliefs, the Christmas three was not allowed to be
displayed in the U.S. until 1875.
The exchange of gifts started on December the 6th
and later on was moved to Christmas day. Present day St. Nicholas and his eight reindeer sleigh was born when
Clarke Moore wrote "Twas the night before Christmas" in 1822.
